Oh, this looks soooo amazing, Elly. I dub you an honorary Lebanese girl. :)
Yum. Yum. Yum. Arni with fasolakia is good anytime! I love the way you served it with cous cous. And yes Lebanese food is fanatstic...I agree again.
Elly it looks mouth watering.
Hey Elly, is that Israeli couscous? It's Spring, we can eat lamb and this dish os comfort food X 10..arni me fasolia I say!
Elly this is exactly how we eat it in Cyprus and this is how my mom used to make all the greens: arni with fasolakia, arni with peas, arni with bamies (ocra), we eat a lot of lamb in Cyprus. However, personally I am not much of a lamb eater and I prefer the vegetarian version but it really looks so good.

Thanks Ally and Katie, and thanks for the recipe inspiration!

Peter G, as usual, I agree with you :)

Peter, that couscous is sometimes called Israeli couscous and sometimes called Middle Eastern couscous (that's what my box said). Either way, I really like it. I had been trying for a while to find it!

Ivy, with bamies is my FAVORITE, but it's hard to find decent okra here that doesn't cost a ton.

That looks tasty. I like the large couscous that you served it on as well.
This looks like it could be perfect in the tagine too. I've never cooked with okra and I think it frightens me a little - people tell me it's slimy and I wouldn't know how to correct that.
This sounds like a really comforting dish Elly. I love to try these authentic foods no matter what a person wants to call it. Everyone probably makes it their own way.
I am so with you on the Lebanese food! My favorite too - and I could eat it every single day too! I grew up in DC - which totally spoiled me in terms of Middle Eastern foods too!
